Seed
SFP has seed available for a wide range of hardwood timber species. The seed is suitable for timber plantations, environmental plantings, or other on farm purposes such as wind breaks, stock shelter, riparian zone and land slip remediation. SFP uses the seed to grow our own plantations.
All seed has been sustainably collected from trees with good timber growing characteristics. That is trees with straight stems, long bole length, vigorous growth, healthy crowns and no pest or disease issues.
Cleaned (professionally processed to near pure) and uncleaned (sieved) seed is available.
Price varies from $1,500.00kg to $10,000.00/kg dependant on purity, species and cost of collection and processing.
